You’ve poked. You’ve tagged. You’ ve liked. And now you can top-up your phone on Facebook, the UK’s biggest social network.



In (what we believe to be) a world first for a major mobile network, you can now top up your O2 Pay & Go phone without leaving the O2 Facebook page. The whole process is exactly the same as topping-up on the O2 website. It all happens via a Facebook app on the official O2 UK Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/o2uk.

We’ve been building and talking more and more in Facebook for a long time now – It’s safe to say we’re as obsessed with Facebook as the 30 million+ people of you in the UK who use it are. Half of you use it daily! And so far nearly a quarter of a million people have joined us on our Facebook page, discussing everything from how many minutes of talk time Andy Carroll’s transfer fee would get you to the latest news on which mobile phones we’re selling. We’ve even discussed dancing squirrels.

Why?
We’ve built the ability to top up your Pay & Go phone because we want you to be free to spend your time connecting to the people, pages and photos you love on Facebook without any interruptions. If it’s where you’re spending your time, it’s where we want to help you. We’re also keen to explore whether you want to be able to buy products and services inside our Facebook page – Maybe you’d love your entire life to take place in Facebook? Maybe you want Facebook to be a place just to talk to your friends? Either way, we’d like to hear your views; let us know in the comments or on Facebook.

How?
You just need to go to the official O2 UK Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/o2uk and click on the Pay & Go Top-up tab.The process is exactly the same as on o2.co.uk – enter the relevant information, enter your credit and debit card details (it will prompt you to switch to secure browsing if you’re not already doing so), before you receive an SMS to confirm the top up. This is the only place you can top-up with O2 via Facebook. If you’re unsure about whether or not it’s from us, make sure it’s on the O2 Facebook page.
