In support of the recovery effort we have taken the decision to make calls to the following numbers free for our customers (without any charge to bill or phone credit) until further notice.

The Met Office – 0870 900 0100
Floodline – 0345 988 1188 or 0845 988 1188

Wayra start-up Taskhub has also set up an online site to facilitate the flood-relief effort and we’d encourage anyone who wants to help to sign up.

The site allows volunteers to post the time, skills or equipment they can lend to those affected by flooding in the UK. If you can help flood-hit communities and want to volunteer, please list on floodvolunteers.co.uk so that people in flood-hit communities can reach you. It is completely free to use and open to all.

If you, or anyone you know, need assistance they can find it on floodvolunteers.co.uk. According to BBC, more than 1,000 properties have been flooded over the past week and homeowners have been warned many more are at risk. There are fourteen severe flood warnings in Berkshire and Surrey and two in Somerset. Forecasters have predicted that winds exceeding 100mph are approaching the coast of West Wales.

Taskhub is on a mission to connect people in need with the local people who are on hand to help, and your support in greatly appreciated. The floods are predicted to get worse before they get better, so we must work together to get through the flood-crisis.
