Millions of people will be turning their lights out to support Earth Hour at 8.30pm on Saturday 29 March. Will you be one of them?

If you’re not sure how to celebrate Earth Hour, here are five things you can do to keep you entertained.

  1. Blackout BBQ – Invite your friends over and get the barbeque on the go. A perfect way to spend an hour in the dark.
  2. Romantic Meal – Or maybe you want to have a romantic dinner with your other half. Lights out, candles lit and set the mood by using O2 Tracks to provide the music.
  3. Dessert in the dark – For dessert why not tuck into that ice cream you’ve been saving in the freezer? Go on, it’s going to melt with your appliances switched off anyway. (How good an excuse is that!)
  4. Landmark lights out – Watch a landmark near you get plunged into darkness as they participate in Earth Hour. In London alone, you can check out the Big Ben, Wembley Stadium and loads more. Why not video that magical moment and share it using O2 Clip it.

Remember, all you have to do to get involved is turn out the lights and any non-essential electric equipment for an hour this Saturday from 8.30pm.

Text EARTH to 2020 for your SMS reminder on the night.
