O2 welcomes a new addition to the O2 Academy family

Chart topping rapper Professor Green will be the first act to headline the new O2 Academy Leicester on Thursday 23rd September. O2 Priority tickets for the event are now on sale!

Opening this September, O2 Academy Leicester will become the 14th O2 Academy venue. The 1,450 capacity venue is housed at the heart of the University of Leicester and is currently undergoing a £15m development. The first class facilities will cater for the biggest live acts on the touring circuit. There will also be two additional production-complete venues on site, O2 Academy 2 Leicester (500 capacity) and O2 Academy 3 Leicester (250 capacity).

The launch show will see Professor Green take to the stage for his first non-festival appearance of the year, with his full live band and an energetic set following hit collaboration with Lily Allen on ‘Just Be Good to Green’ and dancefloor smash, ‘Need You Tonight’ with Ed Drewitt.
