IPhone4

Taking pictures with your phone used to be pretty dull. Then iPhone happened. Today there's literally hundreds of apps, and a few accessories, to help you create amazing images with your device. We've picked out five of our favourites after the jump.

Whether you want to dress up your images, keep your phone super-steady or zoom in close, there's an app or accessory that'll help you do it. Here's our pick of the best on offer right now.

iPhone Telephoto Lens

$35 from www.photojojo.com

It may look ridiculous but the 8x iPhone Telephoto Lens is rather brilliant. The zoom lens comes built into an iPhone case and comes with a collapsible table tripod. It may be a little hefty but if you want to grab really cool shots, it could be a handy tool to slip into your bag.

Instagram

£free from iTunes

The iPhone app all the cool kids are using, Instagram lets you quickly share your pictures and apply cool filters to them. People can rate and comment on your photos and you can share them via Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. The whole experience is oddly addictive.

Camera+

59p from iTunes

Easily the best photo editing app for the iPhone, Camera+ makes it really simply to fix, sharpen and add effects to your iPhone photos on the go, saving your edits as a new image rather than overwriting the original. Well worth the 59p in our book.

The Glif

$20 from TheGlif.com

If you have a tripod for your camera and want to just sling your iPhone 4 on that, The Glif is a great option. The Glif is a stand for your iPhone 4 which makes it great for watching movies on it or reading but it also comes with the right connector to screw it onto a tripod. Ultra handy!

GorillaMobile iPhone 4

£34.94 from Amazon.co.uk

A flexible iPhone tripod with a dedicated iPhone app to go with it, the GorillaMobile iPhone 4 is a really good value tripod that will attach to objects like tree branches and table legs to allow you to take unusual shots with your iPhone 4. The GorrillaMobile is another one of those iPhone accessories that's so good you'll wonder how you did without it.
