minicabit, one of our 2012 Wayra start-ups, featured on Dragons’ Den over the weekend and was the first app to win offers on the show.

Amer Hasan, CEO of minicabit, received competitive offers from three out of five Dragons during his pitch, which goes to show that mobile apps are becoming much more interesting to investors.

Watch it on iPlayer here.

On web and mobile, minicabit allows you to compare real time quotes from licensed Private Hire taxi companies and book the one which suits you best. Operating in over 30 UK cities, no matter where you go you’ll be able to save time, money and effort.

The start-up has gone from strength to strength since graduating from our Wayra Academy in 2012. Since then they’ve partnered with O2 Academy and London City Airport following earlier deals with The O2 and travel giants Expedia. We reckon their dabble in the ‘Den’ will set them up for even bigger things in 2014.

So whether it’s booking a cab to get to the airport or if it’s to journey down to a meeting, there is no better way to make sure you get the best price possible. You can use the minicabit website or download the iOS or Android app to get yourself a great deal.
