Mobile World Congress - Day two highlights

Day two of Mobile World Congress saw the focus shift towards BlackBerry, wearable tech and accessories.

BlackBerry unveiled two new devices, the Z3 and Q20. The Z3 is a 5-inch touchscreen device but it’s the Q20, featuring their classic Qwerty keyboard, that BlackBerry are hoping will prove to be a fan favourite.

Samsung Gear Fit wristband.  Following on from the launch of the Galaxy S5 and smartwatches, Samsung revealed its move in to the fitness market.  The Gear Fit wristband has a small screen that alerts you to texts, emails and calls when connected to your Galaxy smartphone.

Not to be outdone, Huawei chipped in with its TalkBand B1 device which works with Android and iOS. As well as monitoring your fitness, calories and steps, it can be used with a wireless earpiece to make and take calls. And watch out for LG, as they’re planning on unveiling their own smartwatch later this year. Rumour has it they’re collaborating with Google so it’ll spell good news for Android fans.

Be More Dog  Finally, this has been our favourite piece of tech so far. Power your kitten via USB! Now that’s being more dog, or cat. Whichever you prefer.
