The O2 Silver Clef Awards is back. The annual music awards in support of Nordoff Robbins has just had its first three winners announced for the event on 4 July.

First up, Pharrell will be happy – no, delighted – to take home the Raymond Weil International Award. It’s been a big year for the artist/producer/all round great hat wearer who’s managed to get himself in most of the biggest releases of the year. Five million copies of ‘Happy’ sold so far, the fashion statement of the decade and the dubious honour of getting to hang out with Robin Thicke…

Back to Britain and the wonderful Paloma Faith will be bagging the Royal Albert Hall Best British Act on the night. Paloma and her hair have been icons of the British music scene since 2009 and since gone on to become double platinum selling superstar. Plus, she’s another mate of Pharrell, who wrote her latest track – “Can’t rely on you”.

And we’re recognising one of music’s true innovators. Georgio Moroder’s been changing the face of music for decades. Most recently you’ll have heard him on Daft Punk’s world conquering album but through the years he’s had a hand in Flashdance, Top Gun and Despicable Me 2. The Oscar winning Grammy Award winner can also add the American Express Innovation Award to his creaking trophy cabinet – “Winning the American Express Innovation Award is a true honor that I accept on behalf of all composers, musicians and producers that strive for originality every day.”
