Our pick of September's O2 Academy gigs

Forget your summertime sadness, and get your Lana Del Rave on as September marks the start of another incredible season of live music. Here’s our pick of the crop coming to our O2 Academies.

Everyone’s favourite Aussie Iggy Azalea (real name Amethyst Amelia Kelly) takes over Shepherd’s Bush with Mistajam on 17 September as part of her Gold Trap Tour. She’s so fancy, she’s collaborated with Rita Ora on her new track Black Widow. Give it a listen.

With over 40 million records sold, Blondie is getting ready to rock Birmingham on 13 September, possibly for the last time before they hang up the microphone for good. Expect classics including ‘Heart of glass’ plus songs from their new album, Ghosts of Download.

Ready or Not, Ms Lauryn Hill is taking over in September. Well not entirely, but she’ll definitely be playing at Brixton (20/21) and Birmingham (23) for only the second time in five years. Doo Wop (That Thing) is our one to watch out for. Guaranteed good vibes.

SBTRKT, led by Aaron Jerome, bring their live show and strangely awesome ceremonial masks to Leeds (26), Glasgow (27) Bristol (29) and Brixton (2 Oct). Check out their remix of Wildfire featuring Drake, taken from their first album. The perfect after-party soundtrack.

Colorado schoolmates formed The Fray back in 2002 and made playing the piano cool with the classic How to Save a Life. Nowthey’re touring the UK, visiting Glasgow (24), Birmingham (27) and Shepherd’s Bush (29), to perform songs from their 4th studio album Helios.
