Our pick of November's O2 Academy gigs
Remember remember all the O2 Academy gigs in November. And in case you forget, we picked our favourites so you don’t miss out.
After a four year hiatus Jamie’s bringing his mate Stella, The Pacemakers and songs from his long-awaited new album Carry on the Grudge to Newcastle (3), Leeds (8), Birmingham (13) and Liverpool (18) in November. We’re currently loving Zombie.
The Pretty Reckless
Actress-turned-rock band front lady Taylor Momsen is heading to the UK with The Pretty Reckless to celebrate the release of new album Going to Hell. They’ve already had huge success with first single Heaven Knows, so check out the first female-fronted band to achieve No. 1 on the rock radio charts in Leeds (18), Glasgow (20), Oxford (22), Bristol (23) and Brixton (26).
10 years after the release of Inside In/Inside Out, those cute as a button Kooks are back on the scene with songs from their new album Listen Down. Don’t be naïve, head to Leicester (6), Newcastle (10), Leeds (13), Sheffield (14), Birmingham (15), Bristol (17) and Bournemouth (19) to watch them in action.
Take a trip with Passenger, aka Michael David Rosenber, to Bournemouth (12), Bristol (15), Birmingham (18), Glasgow (25), Newcastle (27) or Leeds (29) next month. His single Let Her Go was a global success so we have high hopes for his fifth studio album Whispers which he describes as his most upbeat record to date.
Mr Jones loves them, and so do we as they’re one of the best live bands of the last 20 years. They’re flying west for the winter to Birmingham (1), Glasgow (2), Newcastle (4) and Leeds (5) as part of the European leg of the worldwide tour to celebrate their new album Somewhere Under Wonderland.
