Hat-trick for O2 Enterprise at the B2B awards
Enterprise marketing had good reason to celebrate at the B2B marketing awards last night. The team were shortlisted for five awards and came home with three. The glitzy event is an opportunity to showcase the best B2B marketing activity across all sectors and the wins for O2 are a testament to the transformation driven by O2 Enterprise Marketing over the last 18 months.
The Local Government Digital Fund was the headline success, winning ‘Best Use of Live Events’ and ‘Best Corporate Decision Maker Campaign’. Over 120 local authorities submitted a suggestion on how to use funding to solve a problem in their community. After an intensive review process, six were shortlisted to take part in a dragons den-style pitch. In the end, it was Newcastle City Council and Buckinghamshire County Council who won the funding and support from O2 to turn their idea into reality.
The campaign aims to help councils develop services in three categories:
- Mobile working – helping employees to serve local communities using digital tools.
- Connecting and communicating with citizens– for example an app that allows people to pay their council tax via a mobile device.
- Collaborating in the workplace– improving service delivery for communities by developing online information sharing systems that improve collaboration to resolve problems faster.
The third award on the night came for ‘Best Lead Nurturing campaign’ for the launch of 4G into the Enterprise sector. Again it was fantastic recognition for the team and another example of how we’re helping our customers to do more with 4G.
