Our four favourite rugby apps on Android

As we prepare to #WearTheRose one last time (for now) as England chase the Grand Slam dream, we thought we’d take a quick look at a few of the best rugby-based apps available on Google Play.

rugbynewsRugby News & Live Scoresfree HERE
This app gives you a great overview of what’s going on, and lets you follow developments across the biggest fixtures of the tournament and beyond. One nice feature is that you can customise your news feed so you only get the news you want.

rugbyglossaryRugby Glossary£1.88 HERE
Whether you’re new to the game, or you’re a lifelong fan, chances are there’s some terminology that you don’t quite understand. Rugby Glossary puts all those terms at your fingertips and BAM! You’re an expert. You’re welcome.

rugbydoodRugby Doodfree HERE
This app will help take your post-match analysis to the next level. It’s a great tool that you can use with friends to debate how you might have done things better. It’s got a great interface that really gets down to the nitty-gritty; you can lay out your own formations, add text, animations and share them with your friends.

If watching’s the tournament’s got you in the mood for a bit of a play, but you’re too lazy to get up, then Rugby Nations ’16 is the app for you. With some high quality 3D graphics that are pretty awesome for a mobile game, you can play in career mode and work your way up from the lower leagues, right up to international level; you can even join a global live game, taking your team worldwide. All-new touch controls make it a game that’s easy to play, as well as being a ton of fun.
