Adele Prize Competition Terms and Conditions

The dates for the Adele Prize Competition run from 12am GMT on 28 March 2016 until 8pm BST on 1 April 2016 (inclusive) (the “Prize Competition Period”). Throughout this period, there will be one prize competition each day (“Daily Competition”):

·       Entry: To be eligible to take part in the Adele Prize Competition, entrants must reside in the United Kingdom and be aged 18 years or over. Entrants may be O2 or non O2 customers.

 

To enter into a Daily Competition, an entrant must:

 

1.     Donate £5 towards NSPCC online child safety by texting ADELE plus your answer (A,B or C) and your name to 85199 before the Closing Time (8pm BST) of each Daily Competition.

 

(Please note: Entrants will be charged at the standard network rate for texts sent to 85199, in addition to the £5 donation.  Donations are subject to VAT and third party charges, and a minimum of £2.397 will be transferred to NSPCC per each donation); and

 

2.     In relation to each Daily Competition, answer correctly the following question (the “Daily Competition Question”):

·       Winner Selection

 

After the Closing Time of each Daily Competition, two prize winners will be selected at random using a 3rd party software system from all those eligible entrants who have answered the Daily Competition Question correctly

 
 

·       Prize:

 

 

Each winner will receive two (2) tickets to the O2 suite 209 at The O2 at Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX on 5 April 2016 to see Adele perform. The winner and each additional ticketholder (“Companions”) will also be given access to the O2 Priority lounge prior to the performance.

 

The winner will receive the tickets upon their ID identification from the O2 Angel at the O2 Concierge within the main entrance of The O2, in front of the O2 Priority lounge, next to the Cabana Brazilian Barbeque.

 

  1. This Adele Prize Competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over, excluding employees of O2, or any of its subsidiary companies, their families, agents or anyone else connected with this promotion. Entrants in Northern Ireland are specifically excluded from this competition. No third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted.  O2 reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.  O2 may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of an entry and the prize may be withheld until and unless O2 is satisfied with the verification.

 

  1. An entrant may enter a Daily Competition more than once, and each entry will be counted towards that competition.

 

  1. The Adele Prize Competition runs during the Prize Competition Period until the specified Closing Time of the final Daily Competition on 1 April 2016. Entries received after this date and time will not be entered into the Adele Prize Competition.

 

  1. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms & conditions of this Adele Prize Competition and, in the event of a conflict, these terms & conditions take precedence.

 

  1. The winner(s) of each Daily Competition will be selected at random from all eligible entries received that day (i.e. all those who answered the Daily Competition Question correctly). Each winner will be notified within a reasonable time after the Closing Time of each Daily Competition either by email, mail or telephone.  The prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance and if a winner is unable to be contacted after a reasonable period or if any prize is unclaimed or declined within a reasonable period, the prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and a supplementary winner may be drawn at O2’s discretion.

 

  1. O2 will not be responsible for any inability of a prize winner to take up the specified prize.

 

  1. The winner and any Companions accompanying them will be solely responsible for travel to and from the venue and all other expenses. O2 assumes no responsibility and is not liable for any costs, charges or expenses which winners or their Companions may be required to pay at any time in connection with the Adele Prize Competition.

 

  1. Any additional terms of entry specified by the venue will also apply which, in the case of events at The O2, can be viewed online at http://www.theo2.co.uk/web/guest/termsandconditions. All winners and their Companions must be 18 years and above. O2 shall not be liable for any breach by the winner and their Companions of the venue’s terms, or for the unlawful consumption of alcohol by anyone under 18 years of age either in the O2 Box, the O2 Priority Lounge or The O2 generally.

 

  1. The winner and their Companions will be IDed on entry to the O2 Priority Lounge. There is no limitation on how long the winner and their Companions may stay in the O2 Priority Lounge, but they may only enter once and will not be readmitted once they have left.

 

  1. O2 reserves the right to provide substitute prize(s) of similar value should the specified prize(s) become unavailable for reasons beyond its control. Cash or credit alternatives will not be offered. None of the prizes are transferable. Events may occasionally be cancelled for reasons outside O2’s control. O2 will endeavour to promptly update any relevant information but cannot issue refunds for texts sent or calls made before this occurs (where applicable). O2 will not be liable for any change of date or venue or cancellation of any event.

 

  1. O2 accepts no responsibility for incorrectly completed, lost or delayed entries, notices, acceptances, tickets or other documents related to the prize(s).

 

  1. In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of this Adele Prize Competition, including the allocation of more prizes than are available, O2 reserves the right to end or suspend the Adele Prize Competition; amend these terms & conditions; declare void the notification of winner(s); and/or to allocate available prizes by conducting a simple draw from all wrongly allocated winners.

 

  1. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.

 

  1. All winner(s) may be required to participate in publicity connected with this Adele Prize Competition and it is a condition of entry that the winner(s) agree to their name and country of residence being made publicly available if they win.

 

  1. The names of the major winner(s) may be obtained by sending a signed handwritten request along with a stamped self-addressed envelope detailing your request to the Marketing Team, Telefónica UK Limited, 260 Bath Road, Slough SL1 4DX, and marked with the name of the Adele Prize Competition.

 

  1. Entrants’ data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing this Adele Prize Competition. If a prize includes tickets to an event then for the purpose of administering the ticket allocation, O2 reserves the right to exchange information and data regarding tickets and applications with third party ticket providers and/or service providers.

 

  1. O2’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

  1. O2 shall have no liability in the event that the short code number 85199 is unavailable for any reason (including maintenance work performed by O2) during the Prize Competition Period and a person is unable to enter any Daily Competition.

 

  1. O2 reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion and/or review and revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and by continuing to take part in the promotion subsequent to any revision of these terms and conditions, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.

 

  1. The Adele Prize Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By entering this competition, you are providing information to O2 and not to Facebook and you release Facebook from any liability associated with this prize competition.

 

  1. Entries not complying with these terms and conditions will be invalid.

 

  1. This promotion is governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
