O2, the UK’s No.1 network will be helping its customers go green, launching its best-ever Black Friday deals on its ranges of refurbished ‘Like New’ devices later this week, with incredible savings to be had from Thursday 5th November.
Furthering its commitment to helping consumers make greener choices and reduce their impact on the planet, O2 will for the first time ever be including a range of Like New devices amongst its Black Friday offers. These sustainable options will give both new and existing customers the opportunity to make purchasing decisions that benefit the environment.
This year, throughout the Black Friday period, O2 will be championing a number of money-saving deals on Like New devices. Those customers looking to make a choice that is not only good for their pocket but for the planet too will be able to save up to £144 on a range of flagship handsets from leading manufacturers.
“Since we embarked on our industry-leading journey to become a greener business back in 2008, O2 has been committed to tackling climate change and protecting the environment,” said Nina Bibby, Chief Marketing Officer at O2. “We’re also dedicated to empowering our customers, both existing and new, to make more sustainable choices that help to protect the environment. Black Friday is an important moment for every retailer and we couldn’t think of a better time to encourage the British public to build towards a greener future by purchasing a refurbished Like New device.”
For over a decade, O2 has pledged to protect the environment and to help others do the same. From small changes such as introducing paper bags and paperless receipts in stores to the launch of O2 Recycle in 2009, which has saved over 450 tonnes of mobile phone waste from going to landfill en route to becoming the longest-running UK mobile network operator recycling initiative. Over 95% of phones in the Recycle scheme are refurbished and re-used, extending their lifespan and giving our customers another green option when looking to purchase their next device.
