New head of site for Halton’s largest employer

Halton’s largest private employer has a new man at the top. O2 at Preston Brook has appointed Jason Duffy as the new Head of Site, He replaces Gareth Pickles who has moved to the company’s Leeds operation.

Jason started as a trainee sales advisor in the Southport branch of O2. He has developed his career moving through the organisation as Branch Manager at Wigan before becoming Area Manager for the North West. His appointment as Head of Site at O2 pays testament to the company’s commitment to continued staff development and demonstrates a passion for internal progression for their people

‘I started with O2 as a trainee sales advisor and have been learning, developing and progressing in my career over the past 18 years,’ said Jason.’ I’m now in a position where I can pass on my knowledge and experience to other people starting their careers in the same way.

‘Our people are vital in delivering excellent customer service. They have a ‘can-do’ attitude and passion for great service delivery and I’m really excited at the prospect of working with them in the months ahead.’

His day-to-day responsibilities involve general management of the 1400 people working at Preston Brook, finding new opportunities for staff development and ensuring the consistency of O2’s customer service.

Jason continued: ‘I’m keen to work with people to further improve the excellent working environment we have here at O2 and to help develop our future leaders.

‘O2 is no longer just a telecommunications company; it is a really exciting time for us as we are opening other opportunities, not just mobile phones but broadband, financial services and fixed lines amongst others. O2 is expanding on the back of a fantastic brand and continuing to enhance the customer experience.’

Jason is married with three young children and lives in Waterloo, Merseyside.
