[library asset=3831]O2 has strengthened its Enterprise proposition with the acquisition of part of 2e2’s Managed Services business. A total of 107 employees will transfer into O2 as part of the deal, boosting O2’s managed service offering. Bringing the 2e2 team in-house will allow O2 to offer design and implementation expertise and in-life managed services directly to its customers. All O2’s customer services previously run by 2e2 will now be handled within O2’s own network operations and service management centres.

O2’s Business Director, Ben Dowd, commented: “We now have a truly unified approach to enterprise ICT, from IT security to fixed data networks. We see mobility at the core of our customers’ ICT strategies, which makes us well placed to lead their transformation. During this transitional period we will be focused on ensuring there is no interruption to the service our customers receive.”

This acquisition builds on O2’s recent expansion of its Enterprise business. Dowd added: “We have seen exceptional demand from customers choosing our Enterprise ICT services in recent years and this continues to grow. Mobiles are now computing assets at the heart of any IT strategy. This acquisition strengthens our offering and cements our position as the leading provider of ICT services for enterprise customers.”
