London, UK – 16 July 07: As more than one third of mobile phone users in Britain opt to keep their existing handset[1], O2 has launched “simplicity”, a new range of pay monthly tariffs for consumers and small businesses that provide O2’s best ever calling rates and can be ended on just 30 days notice at any time. The new O2 Best for Business simplicity tariffs have been designed for businesses who are satisfied with their current mobile phones and want greater flexibility and choice from their mobile phone provider. “We know that many of our small business customers do not want to change handset every time their contract is due for renewal. They may be happy with their existing handsets which they have grown used to and have all the accessories for. Or they may not want to be tied into an 18 month contract due to their business circumstances and instead require flexibility. All these businesses still deserve the best possible mobile deal and experience and that is what they get with O2 simplicity,” said Sally Cowdry, O2 UK Marketing Director. Businesses that choose to retain their existing handsets will also be helping the environment through saving the potential 7.5 kilograms of CO2 emissions that come with a new device (that’s equivalent to 34 beach balls of CO2). O2’s new Best for Business simplicity tariffs start from just £15 a month for 200 minutes and 50 texts, offering £10 or £15 off five bundled tariffs. This could mean a saving of between £240 and £360 when compared to a standard Best for Business tariff. Customers can cancel or change their tariff at any time and only need to give 30 days notice. Should the customer decide they do need a handset, they can simply transfer to one of our standard Best for Business tariffs at a time to suit them. O2 Best for Business simplicity tariffs are now available from all O2 stores and online from http://businessshop.o2.co.uk/ -ends-
