O2 Creates Professional Services Team for Enterprise Customers

O2 today announced the launch of O2 Professional Services – a dedicated team of mobility experts to help enterprise customers achieve the most from mobile technology. The team has been created to offer a convenient and cost-effective service, providing customers with innovative and bespoke mobile or data solutions which address the specific needs of their business. Building on O2’s heritage and expertise in the mobile space, O2 Professional Services addresses a clear market opportunity to go beyond voice and data in adding value to a customer’s business. Whether it’s a special application to connect with field workers or an interactive messaging solution to interact with customers, O2 can advise on how mobile technology can help achieve specific business objectives. The O2 Professional Services team will cover four key areas: · Exploration and recommendation: assess key trends and suitable solutions for the customer’s industry. Written recommendations on a mobile solution are provided to the customer. · Proving: A managed, technically-supported trial of the solution is implemented, allowing the team to demonstrate and comprehensively test the application prior to roll-out and large-scale implementation. This is followed by a results analysis and ROI, before final recommendations are made. · Deployment: Once the solution has been proven, project plans are confirmed and resources allocated. Dedicated project managers are assigned to each solution and can offer end-user training and mobile device customisation. · Management: ongoing management of the solution. In addition, the team will be able to troubleshoot errors to ensure customers have the most efficient system possible, conducting voice and data audits, identifying and correcting problems to optimise the solution. Peter Bullas will be heading up a team of highly qualified technical consultants, solutions architects, trainers and project managers accredited and certified to cover all major areas of mobile technology, including PRINCE 2 project management, CISCO, Microsoft®, Lotus®, Groupwise, SQL and government information assurance. The team has expertise in complex voice and data solution design, configuration and deployment, RADIUS Server, third-party device testing approval and secure design. If required, the team can also customise Windows® mobile technology to meet precise business requirements – such as enhanced security for workforce management and lone-worker operations.
