O2 launches ‘Text & Web’

O2 today announces a new Pay & Go tariff designed to give Pay & Go customers unlimited peace of mind when surfing and texting. The tariff, Text & Web, would normally offer unlimited web access and unlimited text messages when customers top up £30 a month, however will offer this for just a £15 monthly top up to customers who join before 31 October.

Text & Web gives O2 customers access to the people and websites they love, on the move. The unlimited web access means social networks, news, sports and everything else the web has to offer is only a few clicks away. Meanwhile Text & Web’s unlimited texts can help O2 customers keep in touch with their friends and family, whichever UK mobile operator they are with.

‘Our customers are connecting with people more and more through social networks and need constant access to online sites, so we’ve built Text & Web with them in mind,’ said Jean-Michel Maltais, Head of Pay & Go Propositions. ‘The unlimited web access means interacting with the internet is now even easier – they also get a rich text allowance which offers great value.”

The inclusive allowances for Text & Web vary depending on the customer’s monthly top up and when they join the tariff.

Customers joining between 15 September and 31 October who’

Top up between £10 and £14 a month will get unlimited UK text messages
Top up more than £15 a month will get unlimited UK texts and web access

Customers joining after 31 October who’

Top up between £10 and £14 a month will get 300 UK text messages
Top up between £15 and £29 a month will get 500 UK texts and unlimited UK web access
Top up more than £30 a month will get unlimited UK texts and web access

Text & Web’s unlimited allowances carry no hidden charges, although an excessive use policy does apply to both. This policy can be seen at www.o2.co.uk/terms. Existing customers already on O2 Pay & Go can join Text & Web by texting ‘TEXTANDWEB’ to 21300 or calling 2202 for free.
