O2 Media appoints Microsoft's Kelly Wearmouth as head of content partnerships
London. O2 Media has further strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Kelly Wearmouth, former head of MSN Sales at Microsoft Advertising, as its head of content partnerships.
In this newly created role Wearmouth will be responsible for creating, executing and maintaining successful content partnerships that both satisfy and engage O2 customers and generate long term revenue value.
She will work closely with leading brands and partners across the UK and have a strong relationship with the Global Telefonica Partnership team and the Telefonica Marketing Group. Wearmouth will report into Gary Cole, Commercial Director at O2 Media.
Prior to O2 Media, Wearmouth was responsible for commercial management of the MSN.co.uk portal, working across sales, marketing and editorial to produce innovative solutions across content production and drive internal product development. A key success for Kelly during her tenure at Microsoft Advertising was the launch of MSN Him http://him.uk.msn.com – the UK’s number one men’s lifestyle channel.
O2 Media believes content and content partnerships are an invaluable growth sector in mobile marketing and the appointment of Wearmouth is part of a dedicated move towards increasing expertise in this area exploiting this growth.
