Partners to benefit from unique digital learning programme

O2 is today announcing another milestone for its Partner Academy, which will now provide training through a digital programme for its partners in addition to its existing portfolio of learning solutions. This move aims to revolutionise the learning experience for O2’s partners, with the new intuitive assets set to help them attract, develop and retain great people as well as add value to the bottom line.

The digital evolution of O2’s Partner Academy marks a promising development for O2′s partners. Through the programme O2 will offer an extensive skills programme to its partners’ sales teams, including customer service, sales, product and management training through a dedicated online portal. These services will be provided in addition to the face to face development options delivered at the O2 Partner Academy in Stratford Upon Avon.

The new digital academy hosts an on demand knowledge service available on laptop or tablet so partners have access to the programme as and when they need it.  Content and training available to partners through the portal includes ‘Ask the Expert’ videos, face to face and virtual classroom events, a daily market place news feed, case studies and links to key websites.

Paul Lawton, Head of O2’s Small Business division explains: “Winning and retaining business in this difficult economic climate remains a big challenge for our partners. We wanted to develop the academy to provide partners with the knowledge and skills required to be successful in a digital way. This flexible approach means we can support more partners, more regularly whether that be face to face or digitally in turn saving our partners money and time, as it will no longer be essential to travel to receive training

“Feedback from partners on the Academy since its launch in 2007 has been highly positive, and the training has been a key ingredient of O2’s recent success in penetrating the SME market. We are confident that adding a new digital element will enable us to continue to attract the best partners in the business which plays into our commitment to delivering excellence across the board,” continues Lawton.

Andrew Edgar, Managing Director at 8020 Ltd said: “We really welcome the launch of the O2 Partner Academy, the portal is very intuitive to use and will be a great support tool in the growth of our business.  One of the key benefits for us will be the ability to access market & product knowledge quickly and easily, whilst on the move.  And training being delivered through interactive webinars will save us time and money.  This initiative demonstrates that O2 really understands both the partner channel and the current economic climate”.

All O2 partners are eligible to benefit from the training provided through both the digital and face to face learning programmes to help give them a competitive advantage.
